What is YOUR BIG WHY?

We have been asked a lot recently about motivation…. How do I keep myself motivated?
Obviously fitness does not start in the gym! It starts in your head. Without any reason to be motivated you will not step into the gym or lift a dumbbell or stretch a resistance band! It starts with the decision that you want to be healthier. And that decision is always made for a reason. If you want to be able to stay motivated, you have to find your BIG WHY.
The BIG WHY is different for everyone. For some it is to look good on the beach. For others it is because the doctor has told them if they do not make a change then they are putting their life at risk. For a lot of us it is our family… We want to be there for our children for a long time and we want the time we have with them to be the best it can be.
For Kevin and Amanda the BIG WHY is their kids. They decided they wanted to be the kind of parents that have the energy to DO things WITH their kids. Not just be a viewer on the sideline of their lives. But to be able to participate with their kids in life. Being able to hike up a mountain with their kids this summer has given them even more motivation to keep going.
